Didn’t lose a single trade today. You’d think I’d be happy about that but after a succession of losing days I have to put it down to luck. Trade long enough and you’re bound to have full winning days as well as full losing days at some point. But thinking about it, the idea behind trading is that you look for signals that stack the odds in your favour. Maybe winning on average 7 out of every 10 trades. With that in mind, maybe you can have full winning days on occasion but should never have any full losing days. Or maybe my logic is flawed. More than likely. Anyway, one of the issues I’m having is that my losses can be bigger than my winners, so hopefully a full day of losses isn’t on the cards. Today did feel good though, I felt I was reding the signals well and sticking to the plan. I still can’t help thinking that because they all went my way that has given me a false sense of confidence. Maybe I’m being hard on myself. But that’s what learning how to trade is all about I think, self-criticism. I think it’s important to review what happened and try to find fault, even on the good days. That’s how improvements are going to be made… Hopefully! Anyway, that’s me for today. See what tomorrow brings. I’m off to order a takeaway. It’s Sunday, I’m allowed.
